Hounds
McDannell's Smokey
DOB Dec. 2005 - 13 1/2" - Smokey is a real nice all around hound. His grandsire is NSPC FC Twin Maple Reds. Deep bawl voice used right. When the other hounds over run he will cut them all the time. When conditions are tough, he will slow down and walk it out. Had him to a few Derby trials and he did real well. Real nice gun dog and handles great. Whoever he's closest to when finding a shot rabbit, he will bring it right to you. Loves to please. There are a lot of great years to come with him.
DOB 1998 - 15" - Sire: New City Brass Chip Dam: Woodpont Birdsong. This is an incredible older hound. Has endless search and never stops busting the brush. Will jump rabbits when you think there are not any. He will start with loud bawl, then go into a nice ringing chop. Good line control and decent speed. I would love to have seen him run when he was in his prime. He has been bred many times because he has stamped his traits into the pups.
DOB July 2006 -15" - Daisy directly out of the Woodpont kennel owned by Tim Hackworth in southern Ohio. Sire: Woodpont Chaplain Dam: Woodpont Birdseye. Beautiful hound with nice conformation. She searches good, has good speed, and really hustles. Very competitive, always wanting to be in front. Daisy has a very distinctive high pitched chop and bawl voice. I'm very pleased with her after last gun season. Should be a real good one in a year or 2.
